Why hello there, 0 Followers, let me tell you about my life!
I just got back from Sonoma, in Northern California, today. My uncle Simon drove him and me up on Sunday. It was a surprisingly short drive... Or maybe time just flies when you're listening to house music in a car.
The mission of the trip was to visit my grandpa Stephen, his wife Linda, and their friend Wendy. After the five of us met at the local farmer's market, we headed over to a nice bank on the Russian River. We spent hours there sitting in the sun, snacking on goods from the market and standing in the river. Not swimming, to be clear, but some quality standing. I wasn't planning on taking a dip, so I stood to my knees in the water until I figured - what the heck - I'd walk in up to my waist, dress and all.
In this case, "all" includes my phone.
So as my phone dried, I talked with my family. We discussed my future, which I'm glad other people find interesting. Obviously, I love talking about myself, so I usually have to force people to talk about me.
We had an amazing seafood dinner before we all retired for the night, Simon and I in Wendy's front yard. The night air was freezing, but we stacked on lots of blankets. I had a wonderful sleep, and woke up to my grandpa saying he was moving my dew-covered shoes inside. I probably should have thought of that before I left them out there...
Then I finished The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and my life was over.
But it was a very nice trip. Thanks to everyone who made it happen! Now I have a free week to plan.
