Back to the Bay

Why hello there, 0 Followers, let me tell you about my life!

I just got back from Sonoma, in Northern California, today.  My uncle Simon drove him and me up on Sunday.  It was a surprisingly short drive...  Or maybe time just flies when you're listening to house music in a car.

The mission of the trip was to visit my grandpa Stephen, his wife Linda, and their friend Wendy.  After the five of us met at the local farmer's market, we headed over to a nice bank on the Russian River.  We spent hours there sitting in the sun, snacking on goods from the market and standing in the river.  Not swimming, to be clear, but some quality standing.  I wasn't planning on taking a dip, so I stood to my knees in the water until I figured - what the heck - I'd walk in up to my waist, dress and all.

In this case, "all" includes my phone.

So as my phone dried, I talked with my family.  We discussed my future, which I'm glad other people find interesting.  Obviously, I love talking about myself, so I usually have to force people to talk about me.

We had an amazing seafood dinner before we all retired for the night, Simon and I in Wendy's front yard.  The night air was freezing, but we stacked on lots of blankets.  I had a wonderful sleep, and woke up to my grandpa saying he was moving my dew-covered shoes inside.  I probably should have thought of that before I left them out there...

Then I finished The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and my life was over.

But it was a very nice trip.  Thanks to everyone who made it happen!  Now I have a free week to plan.

The Week After CCA...

Ok, so like remember the one other post on this blog?  Ignore it, because I'm not at CCA anymore.  But you probably know that!

This is just a little update because I've had a lot of people ask me where I am right now.  I'm currently staying at my aunt's house in the Bay Area.  I've been couch-hopping between family members' houses.  I recently stayed with my uncle in the Mission in San Francisco, but now I'm back to East Bay.

My dad will be working in the area pretty soon, so I'll stay with him when he arrives.  That'll be in El Cerrito, in just a couple of weeks.  At that point, I'll really be buckling down and figuring out my plan.  I'm going to be exploring internship opportunities, jobs and, well, everything.  So let me know if you have any ideas for how I could spend my time!

I also just want to say a quick thanks to everyone I've talked to/texted recently.  Thank you all for being so supportive of my decision.  I feel so lucky to have the family and friends that I do, and I really love you guys.

Ok bye.

For English Class

This is the blog that I'll be posting on for my English class at CCA!  Who knows, if I'm good and get in the habit of posting, maybe it'll just turn into my normal blog.  We're getting a prompt soon.  I'll write on it later.
